Supports high-performing regional events to boost tourism outcomes and position Queensland regions as must-visit destinations.

Targets events attracting overnight intrastate and interstate visitors.

Term

Up to 3 consecutive years, maximum two terms (6 years total). After the second term, events must show considerable growth to reapply or transition to Major event funding. Previous funding does not guarantee future support.

Events must have been staged for at least three times previously (within the last four years) and must demonstrate their ability to attract overnight visitors from intrastate and interstate. Events must have previously received TEQ support.

The event must meet the following criteria:

• Be held in the same Queensland destination, it cannot rotate to other locations.
• Destination Significant - be in its fourth or more year
• The most recent event must have occurred before submitting the application.
• Align with the funding round's eligible event dates.
• Clearly demonstrate how the funding will contribute to the growth of tourism outcomes, including increased overnight visitor expenditure.
• The applicant must have an ABN, be either a Corporation registered with ASIC, an Incorporated Association or other body corporate
