Purpose
The SLRIP provides funding for projects to address current and emerging priorities in road infrastructure needs.
SLRIP has 4 objectives that are linked to road infrastructure priorities: road safety, productivity, road resilience, sustainability.
Overview
The program funds projects under three project streams:
- Road construction and upgrades
- Bridge renewal
- Heavy vehicle facilities
It is an ongoing, application-based, merit-assessed, funding program, open to all state and territory governments and Local Government Authorities (LGAs).
Eligibility
Applications can only be submitted by a:
- state or territory government entity, or
- LGA.
Applications in partnership with other government and non-government entities must have a lead applicant from a state or territory government, or LGA. Applications cannot be submitted by, and will not be accepted from, any other entity.
