The Movember Institute of Men's Health has established a global Discovery Research Program to develop the next generation of men's health researchers, build sector capacity, drive innovation, and generate high-impact translational research.

The Movember Institute Discovery Fellowship is a five-year award for Postdoctoral Fellows in Australia to lead their own program of research, be mentored by world-leading Professorial Fellow Jacqui MacDonald at Deakin University and join a global cohort tackling the most pressing challenges in boys' and young men's (aged 12-35 years) emotional and relational health. Discovery Fellows will establish a program of research across one or more thematic areas: 1) Coping and Consumption; 2) Social Connection; or 3) Early Fatherhood.

Fellowship Awards of up to AUD $140,280 per year, indexed annually, plus an annual research support allocation of AUD $10,000, over five years will be awarded to undertake projects starting in early 2027. The Fellowship also comes with a funded nested PhD Student, regular learning and development opportunities through the Movember Institute of Men's Health and funded international networking and convening opportunities with your peers and experts in men's health.

This funding opportunity is open to Postdoctoral Fellows who were awarded their PhD in the past 5 years (excluding periods of extended leave or career disruption). Applicants must be a citizen or resident of the host country, with the right to work there. Track record will be assessed relative to career stage.
