Purpose
The Rural Bank university scholarship program aims to assist students who have been offered a place at an Australian university or College to study at Bachelor’s degree level for the first time in 2024 and are experiencing challenging circumstances.
Overview
The scholarship supports accommodation costs and/or other expenses directly related to the study of successful applicants e.g. - course costs, study related materials/equipment, text books, tutoring and educational travel within Australia.
The scholarship award value is $6,000 per year for 2 years for each successful recipient, subject to the criteria specified above and satisfactory academic performance.
Limitations
Qualification criteria:
- You will be a first-time, first year tertiary student studying an undergraduate bachelor's degree level in 2026.
- You will be studying full time in an agribusiness or agriculture related bachelor degree or qualification, in an approved Australian course, at an Australian university or college campus, that will enable you to contribute to the Australian agribusiness sector;
- You can be of any age to apply for this scholarship - Students under the age of 18 years will require parental/guardian consent to accept this scholarship.
Also;
- You are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- You are studying an agribusiness, agriculture or related course
- You can demonstrate leadership both within, and outside, your school community
- You can demonstrate the challenging circumstances (financial &/or social) hindering your ability to undertake further study; and
- You can demonstrate academic achievement and community involvement.
