Purpose
In partnership with the Aurora Education Foundation, CEW are offering three scholarships to the Harvard Kennedy School for rising and mid-career Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women leaders across not-for-profit, government and corporate sectors.
Overview
Inclusions and Obligations:
- Applicants are required to select a course from the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard Kennedy School, INSEAD Singapore, or Sad Business School program
- The total cost of the course and travel (up to $3,000 AUD) must be within $21,000 AUD. As the exchange rate fluctuates, any difference that takes the total cost over $21,000 AUD will need to be covered by the successful candidate
- Applicants must complete their course within 12 months of receiving the scholarship (i.e. 31 December 2026) The recipient(s) will be required to write a report about her scholarship experience and may be asked to speak at CEW and Aurora Education Foundation events
- On completion of the course, the recipient(s) will become a member of the CEW and Aurora Education Foundation alumni communities
Limitations
We are looking for middle and senior women managers across not-for-profit, government and corporate sectors. To be eligible to apply, you must meet the minimum selection criteria:
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- Provide written confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity from an incorporated Indigenous organisation or Land Council.
- Hold a mid-level to senior management role (i.e., CEO, or no more than three levels down from CEO)
- Demonstrate three or more years of general experience as a leader. This includes managing any size of team or team leaders
- Have two or more years general management experience (i.e., business unit, line or functional management incorporating key responsibilities such as P&L management, strategic planning and people leadership)
- Demonstrate ongoing connection and commitment to improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
