The ACNC progress report noted that stakeholder engagement had taken up a large portion of the first six months, with more than 4000 people attending 20 national community presentations and 28 information and education sessions in regional areas and capital cities.
In her introduction to the report, ACNC Commissioner Susan Pascoe said red-tape reduction was a critical function of the ACNC, and said the regulator had taken many strong steps in its first six months.
“This progress report shows the ACNC is already making an impact in our first six months. I am confident that together we can make real progress in delivering a new regulatory framework that will better support charitable endeavour in Australia,” Ms Pascoe said.
